I took this photo of the moon on a late February 2021 afternoon in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. I used my Kodak PIXPRO AZ421 camera.

I used the photo for a feature-length article I wrote examining the anecdotal story that Natsume Soseki translated "I love you" from English to Japanese as "Tsuki ga kirei desu ne" (the Moon is beautiful, isn't it?). Interesting story, but why would he have done that? Did it actually happen? I dare say I put together the comprehensive English-language article on the subject, linked below:
