Project #linocut steampunk #piecepack is under way!

Quite a few months ago I started the project by making this

and buying some supplies (such as non-black linocut ink :D ), and then procrastination happened and I got quite stuck.

Today I've actually drawn all most of the pieces on tracing paper, I need to add the smaller suites, trace everything from the reverse, and then finally carve the linoleum.

And then maybe I'll start procrastinating again, or maybe I'll actually do some test prints in the weekend?

I may also be thinking of regular piecepack suites and playing card suites in the same style, but first I need to actually assemble a piecepack and discover whether it will work.

@ttrpg @Chaosium This is my idea of a simple #TTRPG #solo #oracle that can be used with any #RPG, or by itself. It can use d6 or #percentile dice. You can play it in the car or as a way to fall asleep with #MentalDice. I am very proud of the random event generation using #BookPokery. Do not underestimate #ConsensusFantasy!

Feedback welcome.
#piecepack optional!

Fooling around with an idea for a #Scrabble type #boardgame using #Piecepack and a #Bananagrams set. When words pass through the "empty" spaces, the coins multiply the letter count. The coins remain in the space until all four squares are full. So if I play into a "5" square, the next player can use the coin too. I think I still need to rearrange the coins a little.

Hoping my friend @tomwsmf and I can have a Zoom #Piecepack board game afternoon...

The Colonists of Natick

Two players compete to colonize the newfound Island of Natick. A player earns victory points by expanding their colony: constructing new villages and towns, and employing traders and knights. The first colony to reach 7 victory points (VPs) will dominate the island and the local music scene. This game is a port of Klaus Teuber's Settlers of Catan Card Game to the piecepack system. It won the Good Portsmanship piecepack design contest in March 2007.

Some (not all) of the red pieces on my 3d-printed (and hand-painted) #piecepack have turned almost white. Every time I've used in the last year or so I planned to repaint them. Today it has happened :D

Wife and I played our first #Piecepack board game last night: Cream of the Crop. (Piecepack is, if you don't know, the boardgame equivalent of a deck of cards -- tokens, pawns, dice and tiles that can be configured many, many ways.) I intentionally picked a not-too-difficult game from the Infinite Board Game rulebook, and it was not bad. Fun enough.

I got excited and ported a memory game I used to have, "Paternoster," to the Piecepack system.

And I've lost the first match against @diegor , but I still recommend this game, because it's really fun!

Irving Finkel may have been right about Mesopotamian deities and calling your numbers, btw. Don't. not even once. Trust me :D

Yesterday's crafting project: finally assembling my #piecepack! I did some serious redesigning this week, and sat down yesterday with my long #themagnusarchives backlog and put it all together.

I plan to release the files and create a version for sale on The Game Crafter soon.
