Did any of you all out there have to climb the 50 foot rope up to the rafters in gym class?

In hindsight, it blows my mind that I was less scared of falling than I was of being physically unable to do it in front of my classmates. (Though I did make it to the top, got some awesome calluses on the way back down.)

Last week was a #shitty week to be my kid.

Lost under all the drama about the #assassination of a public figure was the #massshooting at a school. And the continued #InstitutionalDiscrimination against #trans folk by #USA government. And the kid's attempts to adjust from #middleschool to #highschool. And the kid's #anxiety about their own body being amplified by #physicaleducation class.

So no, we're not fucking fine, thank you very much. No thanks to a #fascist #federalgovernment.
