Waaaay back in High School, I was a high jumper on the track team. It was fun! Classic “straddle” form. Best I ever jumped was my own height 5'10". Then the Fosbury Flop came along—a better way, where you could jump over a *higher* bar, because your center of mass would actually pass *under* the bar. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the hang of it. So I guess you could say… I flopped The Flop. 🤦‍♂️😹

#AdultESOL finished. Have one weekend off before classes start up again at the very end of May.

#k12 school year is almost finished, but I am doing an intensive, 2-week #ReadingInstruction / #dyslexia PD at the start of summer break.

My final #CyberSecurity course starts tomorrow --- #EthicalHacking! Very excited, but also very exhausted. Love it, but looking forward to being done with CYSC courses. Unfortunately, I won't be teaching it at #HighSchool next year.

You Don’t Need to Be Smart to Use AI. You Need to Be Clear

A lot of people think you need to be really smart to use AI well. You don’t. You need to be clear.

AI works best when you tell it exactly what you want. If you are vague, you get vague answers. If you are clear, you get useful results. That’s the whole game.

For example, asking “write something about history” will get you a mess. Asking “explain the causes of World War I in simple terms” will get you something you can actually use.

That’s not intelligence. That’s clarity.

This is why some people struggle with AI at first. They treat it like a magic box. They throw in a few words and hope something good comes out. When it doesn’t, they think the tool is broken.

It’s not broken. The instructions were.

Learning to use AI is really about learning to ask better questions. That skill helps you in school, at work, and in life. AI just makes the results show up faster.

You don’t need to be a genius to use this tool.

You just need to say what you mean.
