openish bike computer

openish bike computer - feddit.org

For longer touring and casual sport cycling, I want to finally get my hands on a bike computer. Have used my phone so far, but I don’t like - battery life - water situation when it’s rainy - arguably not too good for the camera stabilizer My requirements are not too high I would say, but I would like - connectivity to some peripherals (ANT+ I guess) - ability to add GPX files and also extract them - not buy myself into some cloud (or otherwise fenced) solution What it boils down to: What would be the least restrictive brand out there? I am aware of https://github.com/hishizuka/pizero_bikecomputer [https://github.com/hishizuka/pizero_bikecomputer] but currently I don’t see myself tinkering that much – since I do longer tours, I need some kind of decent case, a way to take it of and be a little tough. (Sorry if this is not he perfect place, I could not think of another community that would fit well)

Tinha esquecido disso aqui.  Um clássico do software livre brasileiro.

Freie Software ist nicht gratis – sie kostet uns nur kein Geld, sondern unsere Freiheit.

Viele denken, Open Source sei „kostenlos". Doch dahinter steckt harte Arbeit von Entwicklern, die auch leben wollen. Big Tech macht uns zum Produkt, nicht zum Kunden.

Mein neuer Blogartikel erklärt, warum Freiheit Geld kostet und wie wir digitale Souveränität in Europa stärken können.

Big Win for #OpenSource as Germany Backs #OpenDocumentFormat

» Germany doing this in a binding, nationwide framework is a meaningful step, and the rest of Europe would benefit if they took note of this. «

Big Win for Open Source as Germany Backs Open Document Format

The Deutschland-Stack names ODF and PDF/UA as the only permitted document formats for German public administrations.

It's FOSS

Thanks to Ilan Rabinovitch and the volunteer team for a successful @socallinuxexpo, March 6–8, in Pasadena, California! It was wonderful meeting so many friends and attendees at the community-driven Linux conference. 🐧💻🤝
