#Gentoo, to me, had the best approach: gives you choice of init system.

so, my old #lenovo G500 #laptop now runs #antix 26, due to a recent controversy with #systemd getting #ageverification preparation I am glad Antix doesn't contain it.
And I am pretty sure being anti, it won't agree and implement that verification crap.
For me - I am making a personal stand with #linux I am using.

#krita 6 based on Qt6 and many new KDE dependencies seems to need systemd indirectly to function. To build a non-systemd version would take many K-pkgs being rebuilt.

KDE/plasma/Qt platform is so involved in providing a linux-Windows alternative, just like Gnome, that are becoming just a theme alternative to IBM/RH-Windows replacing MS

There are a few Gui projects that totally neglect that there is linux without systemd
