The Linux Foundation is excited to launch a refreshed version of the Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate (LFCA) program. This certification is designed for individuals who are new to the IT industry, work with IT professionals in a product owner or project management role, or students who are considering a career as an administrator or engineer. If you would like to be considered as a Beta tester for the LFCA exam, please complete the short survey below. Selected Candidates will receive an email with instructions and a 100% (free) coupon code to register. Please note, if you are not selected, you will not be notified. TL;DR: IF YOU RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE -- Final scores will be available once the exam is released for General Availability. (Please allow 30 days for Beta data to be evaluated.) -- Available timeslots (proctored exam seats) are limited, register yours early. -- BETA redemption codes are single use, non-transferable, and will only be valid during the beta window. ABOUT THE EXAM -- Review the updated LFCA Exam Blueprint [here]. -- The Beta is a 2-hour online, remote-proctored, exam with approximately 120 multiple-choice questions. -- The final exam will be 90 minutes with 60 multiple-choice questions. -- A passing score on the Beta will earn qualifying* candidates the certification badge. IMPORTANT DATES (dates subject to change) -- If selected you will be notified with instructions via email by August 25, 2025. -- Beta exams must be registered & scheduled before September 01, 2025, 23:59 UTC. -- Beta exams must be taken between August 26, 2025 - September 02, 2025. -- Beta exams can NOT be taken after September 02, 2025, 23:59 UTC. *CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS -- Beta Candidates must complete a feedback survey to qualify for certification. -- Beta Candidates must receive a passing score. -- Candidates who participated as LFCA exam developers will not qualify for a certification badge.
