Siinä se nyt on, pieni perunapenkki 'no dig' periaatteella. 🌱 Tällä paikalla on perinteisesti ollut kasvimaa, tosin viimeiset 20 vuotta käyttämättä, ja maan on vallannut niittämisestä huolimatta lupiini ynnä kaikki muu. Hylkäsin heti alkuun ei-kaivamisen periaatteen ja kaivoin alueelta lupiinit pois juurineen, mutta muuten maata ei muokattu. Alle pahvia, kuivia lehtiä, puoliksi maatuneita kasvinosia, pari kottikärryllistä kompostimultaa ja lopuksi 600 litraa puutarhamultaa. Karkeampaa risua ei voinut nyt laittaa kun penkki ei kerkeä oleutua. Reunustamaan katevillaa, jonka päälle vielä kuorikatetta. Kolme riviä perunaa ja päätyyn vähän härkäpapua. Saa nähä miten käy. 😅 Tontille jääneet kattopellit levitin jatkoksi varaamaan paikkaa laajennusosalle, tavoitteena vähentää lupiinin hyökkäyksiä peittotaktiikalla.

you should really look into the #noDigGarden method. a pioneer of it is this guy:

(there are some free introduction videos, you don't need to buy the course)

you don't weed anything. that's the magic of it :) you just put cardboard (with no tape etc, e.g. big pieces from a bike shop) on top of the weeds, overlapping. then you'll need quite a lot of compost, which is worth it. cover the cardboard with about 15cm of compost or manure (2 years old)
you can plant in there directly.

No dig heißt, den Boden möglichst ungestört zu lassen, um das #bodenleben zu erhalten, mit all seinen #mikroorganismen
Jedes Jahr eine dünne Schicht #kompost aufs Beet statt tiefem Umgraben. Der Ertrag aus dem #garten nimmt mit der Zeit zu. Der Arbeitsaufwand ist relativ gering.
Durch #versetzteAussaat und Voranzucht gibt es permanente Ernten.
