Republicans in Tennessee just removed almost every Democrat (including every Black person) from every legislative committee and subcommittee. It's whites-only in the Tennessee legislature now, and almost entirely Republicans only - the only exceptions are a few which are legally required... for the moment.

State Reps. Justin Jones (D-Nashville) and Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) have been stripped of all their committee assignments in the Tennessee House, according to a letter posted by Jones on social media Tuesday.

@TexasObserver The intention of Abbott & his interstate co-insurrectionists seems to be pretty clear: Full on attack against the Reconstruction Amendments.

Fourteenth Amendment, Section 1, Clause 2:

"No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States..."

This also applies to the right of free movement.
