Anderson County’s public libraries are under siege, and the Library Board meetings are where decisions get made (and where the public record gets written). This is a monthly community turnout to: pack the room and show visible support for our libraries listen, take notes, and share a public recap speak during public comment (if you choose) and demand transparency, stable funding, and policies that protect access to books, programs, and staff Bring: a notebook/phone, a calm voice, and a friend. Good for: first-timers, library supporters, transparency nerds, and anyone tired of backroom politics. Reminder: This is a peaceful civic attendance event. We’re there to observe, document, and advocate for public access.

June 3, 1983: I sat on top of Hump Mountain for almost an hour, drinking in views. The climb down was long and very steep.
