Vice President JD Vance’s ties to the far-right have been well-reported—from writing a promotional blurb in a book from Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec (who has mocked the Holocaust and repeatedly used the neo-Nazi “1488” dogwhistle) to his reported friendship with neo-monarchist Curtis Yarvin (who has written that there’s “nothing wrong with a military coup" and “jokingly” advocated converting the poor of San Francisco into biodiesel). Vance’s far-right connections on X (formerly known as Twitter), however, have been less well-covered.
The Vice President started following Yarvin on X in April 2025, but this activity is not an outlier, Decoherence Media has found. Besides Yarvin and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate, J.D. Vance follows several far-right or antisemitic accounts on X—ranging from influential voices in the “new-right” like Bronze Age Pervert, to smaller operations like Rogue Scholar Press, an independent publisher that publishes books by fascist and proto-fascist authors.
Yarvin and Tate are public figures, but many of the accounts followed by Vance are pseudonymous and lack any public profile beyond their activity on X.

Mehrere hundert Menschen demonstrierten am 5. April in #Friedrichshain in Solidarität mit zwei Jugendlichen, die Ende März von #Neonazis mit einer Machete verletzt worden waren. In der Nacht vom 24. März auf den 25. März 2026 wurde eine junge #Antifaschistin zusammen mit einer Freund:in auf ihrem Heimweg von #Faschisten in Friedrichshain angegriffen. Sie schlugen der Antifaschistin mehrmals mit einer Machete auf den Kopf, was diese nur knapp abwehren konnte, indem sie die Arme hochriss. Besucher*innen des linken Ladens #Supamolly bemerkten den Angriff und kamen zur Hilfe, woraufhin die #Nazis flohen. Dabei riefen sie „Scheiß Punker“ und „Sieg heil“.

One of Patriot Front's newest recruits is a former Navy SEAL combat medic who put his thumb on the scales, possibly committing perjury, to help a war criminal evade accountability.
Corey Noel Scott of Oklahoma testified during a court martial in 2019 that he himself killed an unarmed captive who had been stabbed, without provocation, by his platoon leader while they were stationed in Iraq. That testimony seems to have played a big part in getting the platoon leader acquitted of murder charges.
The trial happened during Trump's first term, and then-Fox "News" host Pete Hegseth personally intervened on behalf of the defendant in that case (a defendant who had openly bragged about actually stabbing the victim in text messages).
The Informant got hold of Scott's secret Patriot Front recruitment interview notes, in addition to finding his X/Twitter account (which he promptly deleted after he was contacted about it). All of it points toward explicitly neo-nazi views.

We weten dat het nazi’s zijn, we worden er boos om en dan steken we onze kop weer in het zand."
