#NationalAssociationOfBlackJournalists isn’t inviting Trump 2 its annual convention in #Cleveland this yr, org has announced. Exclusion of the prez follows controversial appearance by then-candidate #Trump @ the event last yr, as well as a perceived snub against then-VP #KamalaHarris. The decision not 2 invite Trump also comes as his policies against #diversity, #equity & #inclusion actively harm Black journalists across country
The Pulitzers gave a special citation on Monday to the late Chuck Stone, a pioneering columnist in Philadelphia, and a founder and first president of the National Association of Black Journalists. The announcement was part of the reveal of the list of 2025 winners of the Pulitzer Prizes. In this Feb. 15, 1984, file photo,
#Trump nearly backed out of an August interview w/ #NABJ, a group of Black journalists, after learning they planned to #FactCheck his claims. The following month, he & his allies repeatedly complained about the fact-checking that occurred during his debate w/VP #KamalaHarris, berating #journalists & #news executives in the middle of the televised debate.

"Harris condemns Trump’s rhetoric, says voters should make sure he ‘can’t have that microphone again’ "

Vice President Kamala Harris has decried Republican Donald Trump for inflammatory rhetoric about migrants in Springfield, Ohio, and on other topics, and said voters should make sure he “can’t have that microphone again." Sitting down for a rare extended campaign interview Tuesday with a trio of journalists from the National Association of Black Journalists, Harris said her heart breaks after threats of violence have disrupted the city following comments amplified by Trump and his running mate alleging without evidence that immigrants are kidnapping and consuming people’s pets.
VP #KamalaHarris slammed the "hateful rhetoric" & "nonsense" from #Trump around his debunked claim that #Haitian #immigrants in #Springfield, #Ohio, are eating people's pets.
Harris, who made the comments to a #NABJ panel in Philadelphia on Tues, said of Trump, "You cannot be entrusted w/ standing behind the seal of the president of the #UnitedStates of America, engaging in that hateful rhetoric that, as usual, is designed to divide us as a country."

I especially loved her last few answers (starting at 44:21 in the video at the link above), when asked about the importance of #joy to her political campaign and her trust in the Secret Service (yes, and ...).
"The true measure of the strength of a leader is who you lift up." – Kamala Harris
This is what I believe, and why I'm voting for the presidential candidate who treats people with *dignity and respect*. https://iwillvote.com/
