A transcript is available for our watchalong podcast of NEKOMONOGATARI!
After 30 episodes the series starts showing glimpses of the heights it can achieve, largely ditching Araragi to let its heroines speak for themselves.

I was a bit confused at what the joke was from reading the subs and had to listen to the actual audio to get what "Bakemono-ese" was supposed to be.
It turns out it was a different parsing of 化物語 . The title is a portmanteau of 化物 (bakemono) and 物語 (monogatari). However, "No, I Ain't Nessy" read it as 化物 and 語 , thus thinking it was the 語 (language) of 化物 , hence "Bakemono-ese".
Incidentally, the reading provided by "No, I Ain't Nessy" is "bakemono-go". "go" is the on'yomi reading of 語 , which is often used for languages, such as 日本語 (nihon-go) for Japanese. Meanwhile the kun'yomi reading is "kata(ri)", which is "softened" into "gatari" in 物語. The different reading used was what finally completed the joke.

Oh, apparently these audio commentaries are for the content of each corresponding episode, though the one above went completely off the rails right away
I've been listening to the ones from the beginning of the series (Hitagi Crab) and the start of episode 2's commentary is so funny with how Tsubasa is just explaining something profound about organisations for several minutes followed by Hitagi proposing to her, while some... inappropriate stuff is happening in the actual anime.

One thing led to another, so I came across this (part of a) wonderful video:

This is bonus content for Owarimonogatari, so there may be spoilers, but the part I highlighted doesn't have spoilers. You'd probably want to finish Bakemonogatari at least for the joke to land, though.
