A friend prepared a set of poems to help raise money for the Doddy MND campaign. Gary played with Doddy as a junior in the Scotland team.

Great success in Edinburgh last week, people are generous and he’s down in Cardiff with his partner today hoping for the same.

Secular anniversary of Mom's death today, from #ALS (#MND, #ELA, #SLA — same awful disease, same fatal outcome, different languages). I miss her. Miss the conversations we had, miss the ones we'll never have. Miss seeing her enjoy her grandchildren and seeing them enjoy being doted on by her. Lots to miss. And lots of great memories. Yesterday would have been Mom's and Dad's 70th wedding anniversary. She was tenacious and hung on for one last celebration.

Quite remarkable and inspiring to watch the video accompanying this story about the sheriff (the term for a local judge in Scotland) who is able to continue working despite motor neuron disease removing his ability to speak. The sheriff types his words into a computer, and a synthesised voice interacts with others in the courtroom.
