Heute vom #maxxis #rekonrace auf den #conti #raceking umgestellt... Mal schauen wie der sich so schlägt. Mit dem MAXXIS war ich sehr zufrieden. HR hat ca. 3000km gehalten VR sogar das doppelte. Jeder Mantel war nur 1xplatt (kein tubeless)
Der Maxxis hat die Dimension 29x2.25 der Conti ist nur 2.2 breit. Ich fahre etwa 50% Asphalt, im Winter mehr. Ich fahre den Reifen auf meinem Kona Sutra #Gravelbike . Erfahrungsbericht folgt

Kurze Werbeunterbrechung: Unzählige Glasscherben hat er schon überlebt, doch nun ist der #Maxxis ReFuse mit ca. 30 km/h einem Holzpflock begegnet.

Der Reifen hat gewonnen.

Switched my #Gravelking SS 35mm tyres to the #Maxxis Ravager 40mm. I can ride sands again!🤯

Feels like I'm on a straight path to two wheelsets... Do not want to ride asphalt on ravager and do not want to ride semislicks in forest anymore.

Hier waren von Haus aus die #Maxxis #Rekon_Race in der Dimension 29x2.25 verbaut - ja 57 mm und die fahren sich echt gut. Grober Schotter, Matsch, Schnee, Sand, Pflastersteine - alles was einem im Pfälzer Wald unter die Räder kommt läuft echt gut.
Da ich experimentierfreudig bin kommen aber jetzt im Sommer die #Conti #Terra_hardpack in 50 mm (https://www.bikeradar.com/reviews/components/tyres/gravel-bike-tyres/continental-terra-hardpack-tyre-review) drauf. Wurden mir hier auf Mastodon empfohlen (@phpmacher)
...aber erst mal wieder fit werden

Normally I'm not in the #biking or #mtb bubble, but I just changed my Smart Sams 2.1 to Maxxis DTH 2.3 and I like it! 😎 I always wanted those, even if I don't have a dirt bike, it's a normal mtb. Mainly I'm riding on streets/asphalt and I like stairs, so this is the best option for me I think. I'm a bit hyped. Thanks for reading.

Nachdem mir vor 3 Wochen bei -10° das Ventil abgebrochen ist, hab ich schnell nen Schlauch verwendet. Der ist seit dieser Woche schon undicht.

Da ich den ollen (eiernden) Reifen dieses Jahr sowieso ersetzen wollte, hab ich das jetzt vorgezogen und wieder auf tubeless umgebaut.

Läuft!

Flipping cold #mtb ride today. With the #maxxis #highroller2 wider and heavier winter tyres on now, it certainly felt harder than on smaller, lighter xc tyres.
