Elections BC has banned longtime political organizer Mark Marissen from running in local elections for three years after it deregistered his Progress Vancouver party for breaking campaign finance rules.

#SurreyBC city hall #hired a veteran federal & #BCLiberal #insider for $20,000 to #lobby the #BCNDP #BCgovernment to keep the #RCMP in Surrey. 
The contract with #MarkMarissen of #BurrardStrategyInc obtained via #FOI set the rate at $10,000 per month, from Jan. 5 to March 5. Marissen’s hourly rate was #censored from the copy released by #SurreyCityHall .
