Well my first #knitting project is going somewhere. Dunno where, and maybe not doing so elegantly... Realized I made it waaay wider than I bought yarn for in terms of length...

So I either need more yarn to make it longer, or gotta deal with stripes being vertical. I think that might be ugly... But I don't fancy buying even more #yarn for it. Ah well.

I'm trying to go with the flow for this one. Still have 3.2 #skeins left to #knit (2.2 more grey and 1 more red) and the knitting has gotten looser, so ah well. 🤷😸

The red looks much deeper/darker than the image I grabbed of it, as does the grey.

My #blanket-to-be is coming along. It's about 2 in/5cm if I give it a gentle stretch. Most of my first 3 #knit rows or so were quite tight as I was keeping my needles at approximately 120 degrees and tip-to-tip. Now, my technique has improved a tiny bit, allowing a more soft and squishy texture. When I brought the #yarn home, I was worried it was too pink and sparkly, but the more I use it, I quite like it... I am thinking about using a #grey of some sort in-between two red sections, but I haven't decided. 🤔

It seems the form I have is approximately ~62 in/~158 cm wide, if I measure it in non-squished form. I'm actually surprised if it ends up being that wide. I was worried it was like 20 in/51cm lol. If I want the blanket to be at least as long as it is wide, I have about 50cm of this red bit left. I'm not opposed to making it longer than it is wide tho. Maybe I'll buy some grey or other neutral colour yarn once I get paid. 😅

Got about 1-2 inches of my #knitting project done. Hopefully to be a #blanket, if I didn't guesstimate the width too short. I kinda eyeballed it. I thought I didn't like the #yarn color when I first saw it and began, but either it looks better now with more rows, or I'm starting to like it because of the effort it has taken. 😅 I am thinking I might introduce another colour though... Maybe a nice grey or cream to complement the mulberry red colour... Not sure if I should do a two-tone style (mulberry top half neutral bottom) or some other pattern. 🤔.

Got some #BigTwist twinkle yarn from #Joann's on discount. And 60% off some #knittingneedles. Watched some vidyas on #knitting. I can do #knit stitch but not #purl yet. I enjoy #castingon, lol.

First attempt-- too short oops. Trying again. 🤔 I'm not bothering counting until I'm happy with my length...
