I have the Addi Click set, the very first generation. While these needles are still going strong, the pouch to store them in unfortunately started to disintegrate. But, the Addi head office helped me get a replacement! 😃

#Birds are using #AntiBird #spikes to make their nests

#Magpies and #crows have been seen making nests using spikes placed on buildings to deter birds from nesting

"So far, Hiemstra and his colleagues have observed this behaviour in carrion crows (Corvus corone) at one site in the #Netherlands and in Eurasian #magpies (Pica pica) at sites in #Belgium, the Netherlands and #Scotland.

"In a tree near a hospital in Antwerp, Belgium, a magpie made a nest containing around 1500 metal spikes. The spikes on the side of the building closest to the tree were gone, while those on the other side were still intact. This suggests that the birds have been ripping the spikes out, as opposed to collecting loose spikes.

"The researchers have also seen magpie nests with defensive domes containing #BarbedWire and #KnittingNeedles."

Alrighty here goes my #liveknit experience, where I'll be #liveknitting and sharing all my silly thoughts. Not sure which hashtag I'll keep using.

Got some #BigTwist twinkle yarn from #Joann's on discount. And 60% off some #knittingneedles. Watched some vidyas on #knitting. I can do #knit stitch but not #purl yet. I enjoy #castingon, lol.

First attempt-- too short oops. Trying again. 🤔 I'm not bothering counting until I'm happy with my length...
