I'm fiddling around a bit with a syllabus for an undergraduate #law course. #Lawprof friends and general legal beagles, what would you recommend as foundational readings for sessions on Regulatory Law, Constitutional Law, and Mediation?
Ideally for each it would be something that would do a lot of the heavy lifting of explaining the underlying structural concepts such that I wouldn't have to also assign a textbook chapter.

One of the critiques of the proposed California alternative pathway to licensure is that it will create a "two-tiered" system in which attorneys who become licensed without taking the traditional bar exam will face discrimination.
I hate to break it to the critics but the legal profession is already a tiered system rife with discrimination. Let me count the ways. 1/

As someone who has struggled with depression, I try to remove the stigma associated with seeking help. To that end, I partnered with a local attorney to incorporate a course into the law school curriculum called “Wellbeing and Professional Identity. It has been transformative for so many students. We need to make it a required course.
