Today is a good day to remind folk about the Declaration on Free Access to Law (https://falm.info/declaration/).
It declares, among other things that: "Public legal information is digital common property and should be accessible to all on a non-profit basis and free of charge"
"Ask yourself: why would society tolerate a legal profession that outsources all its professional obligations to someone else? What value does such a profession provide? Why would anyone need or even want a lawyer if this is all a lawyer is good for?" #lawprofs #LawFedi

The deadline for expressions of interest has been extended through 11/6. Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKSzysiUSD6MuZNe4kD35NL5uTMgjZxwP4XbQDlUq-5yZmXg/viewform?usp=sf_link
The Chicago-Kent Program in Intellectual Property Law is excited to announce the revival of the Chicagoland IP Workshop. The first edition of this new iteration of the Chicagoland IP Workshop will take place on Friday, December 6 at Chicago-Kent College of Law. We welcome IP scholars from the broader Chicagoland community. We're Chicagoans, so we tend to think most of the upper midwest is Chicagoland, but we welcome people to self-define! To express an interest in participating, please complete this Google form by Friday, November 1. The precise format for the workshop will depend on number of participants and stage of the projects that they seek to present. Chicago-Kent will provide lunch and other food.
