Now, after about 18 days, I’ve produced enough #PVEnergy so that I could fully charge my #EV battery with the money saved for electricity in the house.
Since the last charge before the installation, the battery is about 50%. So some of this is praying for the investment.
Of course, there will be less in winter and I’ll be driving more when I go back to work from my #L8Sabbatical next month but I still like the numbers.
I have a warning for people considering a long #sabbatical.
I’m now into month 6 of 8 of my #L8Sabbatical and one observation is a little surprising. I considered myself scriptural of a lot of business bullshit talk before starting the sabbatical. But after 5 months of isolation, I’m not just scriptural or cynical but asking myself how bad it will be to go back.
So consider yourself warned.
It’s new hashtag time. I plan to tag posts around my journey into #solarpower and #electricvehicles with my personal hashtag #L8goesSolarElectric - mainly to be able to see those posts myself.
I’m doing the same for music with #l8n8music and for my sabbatical with #L8Sabbatical .
It will be mixed English and German because I tend to use language based on relevance.

Bei den aktuellen Temperaturen ist es ein super Gefühl, sich einfach keine Gedanken zu machen, ob die Klamotten bürogeeignet sind - jeden Tag. Ich bin alt - keine kurzen Hosen im Büro für mich; jung genug, dass ich kein Problem mit kurzen Hemden / Polos oder T-Shirts habe.
Im November sind du Temperaturen dann hoffentlich wieder erträglich.
Andererseits sitze ich gerade im Home Office, weil das der kühlste Raum ist.
I’ll have to check the viability to replace a desktop monitor once I’m back from my #L8Sabbatical.
The #XrealOnePro is still limited.
- by its field of view, especially vertical. Turning my head when using the virtual ultra wide display is not a problem but I wouldn’t want to do the same to gain more vertical screen real estate.
- by its FHD resolution.
- by its lag when connecting and switching modes.
- by the lack of OS support for its capabilities beyond being a virtual monitor.

I recently bought a color eInk note taking device.
And now I’m using my old eReader again. I use it mostly for distractionless reading of longer internet content.
I expect to get more use out of the note taker when my sabbatical ends.
