Isn't this a lovely idea? They're pictures of #Kyburg schloss near #Winterthur (Zurich). I had a day to explore the area and took full advantage. If you tried this back home on my stretch of the Thames and you'd be tripping over Turner's every five minutes. Would be great. Also, I'm pretty sure that cliff Biedermann painted never existed. I think he was in the business of tarting up his landscapes.

Bij #opgravingen ten zuidoosten van kasteel van #Kyburg in #Zwitserland hebben #archeologen een zeer goed bewaarde 14e-eeuwse #ridderhandschoen gevonden. Deze bestaat uit individuele ijzeren plaatjes die als schubben over elkaar heen zijn geschoven. Ze zijn met elkaar verbonden via klinknagels aan de zijkant, waardoor een flexibele handschoen ontstaat. De plaatjes zat oorspronkelijk vast aan een basis van leer of textiel.
