The early bird catches the worm—or the early photographer catches the sunrise.

Last week in the Kampina near Oisterwijk, two old trees stood as one in a vast field of tall grass, backlit by the rising sun and softened by morning haze. Shot with a Canon 5DSR and Sigma 24–70mm, using light and atmosphere to shape depth and calm.

Golgotha

These three trees in Olsberg have fascinated me for years.
A few years ago, during the severe bark beetle infestation, they were bare and on the verge of dying.
They remind me of the three crosses on Golgotha – and therefore fit perfectly into Holy Week.
