Some here in the #Running Bubble may know Frank (@DerEntspannende). At the end of 2024, he narrowly escaped one of the most vicious cancer tumors. Following surgery & chemotherapy, he recovered & today completed his first #halfmarathon since his illness, achieving all his set goals. For every minute he finished under 3 hours, he's donating 2€ to the Cancer Society Rhineland-Palatinate.
People like Frank are my role models. Fate handed him lemons, and he made sweet lemonade out of them.

Today’s B-#race was the #Zurich #halfmarathon, which if finished with a new overall #PB of 1:55:00 🎉✌️
13.14mi in 1:57:34 and I’m feeling fiiiiiine. Planned for 8, but my heart rate stayed below 160 so I pressed for the half. Average pace 8:57, average power 258W. I’m *so* hopped up on endorphins right now.
Next month’s #halfmarathon is *go*.

52 Weeks, 52 Half Marathons
Stage 14 completed. During the first and last mile I was attacked by the dune sands blown by the wind. It felt like a billion needles. I climbed at least 9km with the wind blowing against. I was cursing the whole time.
50 km/h from the north with gusts up to 70 km/h.
It felt like Mach 1 wind 😡
Today I had a #taper #interval #training, where the intervals had #race #pace - in preparation for Sunday’s #halfmarathon in #Zurich
