#CyberDeck addiction is real, y'all

Left to right: #PicoCalc (ClockworkPi) running a Lua firmware, #Tanmatsu (Nicolai Electronics) running the Synthwave example app, and #HackberryPi CM5 (Zitao) running the Pico-8 retro game development app (@zep) on top of RPi OS.

Meinen #hackberrypi fertig gemacht
Der CM5 hat jetzt eine 512GB SSD und #kali #linux installiert. Mal sehen ob die Leistung ausreicht.

For those that didnt see @linmob latest post, it looks like someone got #marathonos or atleast its shell setup on a hackberrypi with a CM5. Looks pretty good from a ux perspective atleast on a mobile device.

Got I2C sensors from Adafruit last summer.

Tonight I managed to get the temperature/humidity sensor working today on a Hackberry Pi, which is a little handheld with a 720x720 screen, a Raspberry Pi Zero, and an old Blackberry keyboard. And a tiny external I2C port.

I found a Python GUI library, FreeSimpleGUI, to make a little window to display sensor values.

Beep boop.

🎉 Presenting the #HackberryPi CM5: the #gadget that combines the thrill of #typing on a postage stamp with the #nostalgia of a bygone era! 📟✨ Because who doesn't want to squint at a #720x720 screen while pretending the world hasn't moved on from Blackberry keyboards? 😂👾

#hackberrypi running sway. Adding a personal in the evening :)

Exploring with tiny linux:

#HackberryPi handheld, which has a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, with 512 MB RAM. Some of that eaten by the OS. Maybe 400 left?

No touchscreen, but 720x720 TFT.

It's got Wifi. I'm on the Net with it.

It's got Bluetooth, I've got a keyboard and mouse connected that way. There's a built-in keyboard from some warehouse stock of old Blackberry keyboards. There's a little optical thumb mouse, click click.

Partly an alternate timeline artifact?

From the other 1990s.

Got my new cyberdeck yesterday. This thing s pretty mean. Just need to stick Kali Linux on it now... #hackberrypi
