Brains are weird in the way that I'll take a break from pulling my hair out about making the screen work with my pi02W for a handheld cyberdeck that I find the LCD wiki and a boatload of links in the RPi forum.
Wish me luck on another round of trying to get this thing together.
Lately, I've been binge watching Miami Vice and contemplating a new project. I decided to finally take the plunge and make a cyber deck.
I'm using my old mini caboodle, my old Terracube 2e for the screen, and my old aqua battery pack that I had lying around. Fits and conveniently matches. 🛼🌴 Now for the brain and keyboard. #cyberdeck #raspberrypi #vaporwave #tech
Portable CRT TV Becomes Retro Cyberdeck
I am starting a series of solar deck/cyberdeck Shedtronic Workshop projects. This is an early devlog. Follow along on substack if you are interested. These are all going to be about portable resilient solar tech projects and finding ways to run tech off-grid.
Productive evening at @metalab :) managed to get the first iteration of the top plate for my #Cyberdeck project sorted.
The SBC fits nicely, now I have to see how I can get along with the keyboard layout. Gonna grab some Kailh low profile switches for this build.
So yesterday the Radxa Rock 5B+ #SBC arrived, today the cooling and the NVME-SSD. Looking forward what this thing is capable of.
Mostly interested in real life battery usage when powered from a power bank and how easy it is to use the GPIO from within the OS.
Ultimate end goal would be some sort of #Cyberdeck but who knows where that goes.
