Surprised myself on my 4th and final set of deadlifts by getting 5 reps of 255 pounds up, and it felt too easy. Next time I might try for 300 pounds.

I have offically smashed my first goal of 170 pounds by gaining 4.5 pounds this last week! I also had my partner take my measurements to log them (first 3 pictures) and compare them to my measurements from before I started hitting the gym 16 weeks ago (last picture). Fuck. Yes.

I love feeling stronger day by day, week by week, and actually noticing my #gymprogress visually and being able to compare me now to me when I began this #fitnessjourney 16 weeks ago.

It feels so satisfying to wake up every day and actually look forward to my gym routines. I’m sleeping so much better, I’m feeling so much more energy (even after pushing it daily), and I am eating so much healthier now that I am actually paying attention to my food intake. Fuck yes.

Hell yeah, pull day today felt great in the gym! All I have left for the week is leg day tomorrow morning and Sunday is rest and yoga. Then the split begins all over again Monday! Woof!

Week 10

My birthday came and went, and that meant cake, but this time I didn’t stop going to the gym. And despite the cake I managed to lose some weight, although I don’t trust my scale for body fat %.
On a separate note, the feeling that I used to do some exercises with more weight before leaving the gym many years ago is finally gone.

Week 8

This time it was my husband’s turn to get sick, so I stayed home and we didn’t go to the gym very much. And the pause was long enough that my arms hurt again just like on the first weeks. But that’s ok, the reason we decided to come was to become more healthy, and our health goes first.
