Is there a simple way to split the VLIR records of a GEOS application into separate files?
I'd like to disassemble TopDesk128 to fix the most glaring typos. I can't just patch the binary because some strings need to be longer than the available space
Luckily I was able to turn off the colors.
I just wish the source code of TopDesk128 5 was available. There are some strange inconsistencies in the GUI and (hilariously) weird translations in the English version

In the end I just installed TopDesk and now everything seems to work fine
Not a fan of the color scheme...
I somehow managed to install GEOS 128 MP3 (r240906) on a CMD HD native partition (in VICE).
It boots, but 128 DESKTOP doesn't see any files on that partition. Even though the files are there.
Do I have to replace 128 DESKTOP with something else to have a working system?
The Toronto PET Users Group had an amazing interview with Brian Dougherty.
Brian Dougherty was the founder of Berkeley Softworks, the company that developed the GEOS graphical operating system for the Commodore 64, C128, Plus/4 and the Apple II series of computers.

Just watched this video by @amigalove and man, did it bring back memories! Back in 1989/90 I had a #C128D with a 1750 REU and was an avid #GEOS128 user. For about 6 issues, I was even creating a newsletter for a club I was a member of back then with GeoPublish 128, a 24 pin dot matrix printer and a Xerox machine. Good times! In 1991, I could finally afford an #A2000
This is my ultimate GEOS C128D Battle Station, presented as if we were back in 1989 using period-correct hardware and software. Released the first alpha of my GeoUTools.
https://github.com/xahmol/GeoUTools
GeoUTools is a little suite of (for now) two utilities to help using the Ultimate II+ cartridge from within GEOS.
GeoUTime
Utility to set the GEOS system time (and the UII+to RTC clock) the time received from a user defined NTP server.
GeoUMount
This utility can be used to swap and mount virtual disks on your UII+ cartridge.

Second part of my attempts to develop for GEOS.
Finished now: GeoUMount
This utility can be used to swap and mount virtual disks on your UII+ cartridge, helpful because the UII+ menu is not available under GEOS.
