OH WOW - I totally slacked!
My last post was in October 2015, over 4 years ago.

I have been busy with my kids & my family.

I have been making & selling things as a way to bring some income while keeping up with my wonderful kids doctors appointments...

Searching for Billy Walker - Part 4 | Tuesday, March 8, 2022

The year 1899 saw the death of Winifred Walker. Her husband Isaac died nine years earlier. And now I wondered about that mythical note of condolence written by William Walker listed in those family notes. While it was a nice thought, it was doubtful at best . . .

Ten years for 100 Years in America! | Friday, June 2, 2017

Wow! A decade has sped past since I made my entrance into the world of blogging on June 2, 2007 with the birth of this blog and Small-leaved Shamrock (about my Irish Pennsylvania roots). A day later, I created A Light that Shines Again (focusing on my Boston Irish family tree).

In #Genealogy, one thing we're all guilty of at some point is getting so busy researching that we neglect to organize or properly manage our electronic files. After my own nightmare experience some time back, I wanted to warn others off from repeating my mistakes.

As promised, here's Part 2 of my series, "Avoiding Common Mistakes."

Avoiding Common Problems, Part 2: File Management

It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of research and the fascinating stories we discover, and forget about one of the most important aspects of Genealogy: file management.

Digging into Your Family Tree

Hey #Geneadons! Many years ago, I started a genealogy blog...and then I got sick. (that is the punch line to my life, lol)

I am ready to give blogging another go. The old one was on Wordpress. I am sure after 14 years that there are new and improved options, so please bombard me with recommends!

I am in The US and reasonably tech savvy, but the easier the platform, the better. And free is a must as I am hopelessly frugal.
