Though the fact that talos is similar to something like #flatcarLinux where it is also the OS.

Not installing like a base Debian or fedora install, keeping that all patched and doing the things.. it’s definitely appealing.

Now just to get qemu+ssh working in the libvirt provider and I should be golden.

I’ll need to get probably argo up and deploying charts, then I’ll get the other hardware in order. I haven’t used argo in years, so it’ll be nice to learn.

@lmorchard I had a similar thing with #TalosLinux on my old HP micro server, it has a Turion AMD CPU which is v1. I suspect you could build GTS with v1, usually it's a golang flag change and all done. I struggled with Talos because it is multiple containers that need rebuilding and a lot of build system to get going. I repurposed that machine to #flatcarLinux running #seaweedFS and nothing else in the end.

LTT once again delivers no-nonsense, I-have-stuff-to-do-so-don't-bother-me-with-housekeeping automation based on #Flatcar #Container #Linux.

Me 4 months ago: oh yeah I'll build Flatcar Linux for my little Odroid M1S army, it'll be easy with 6.12 kernel supporting it

Me now: I can't manage to make a booting kernel, it's too hard for me, so many regrets

(I think I'll try some other configs but I'll give up soon)

Hmmm, does #flatcarlinux really not support #podman? Or is it just accidentally missing from the container runtime docs?

https://www.flatcar.org/docs/latest/container-runtimes/

It is also not present in the sysext-bakery.

Container Runtimes

Flatcar Container Linux supports all of the popular methods for running containers, and you can choose to interact with the containers at a low-level, or use a higher level orchestration framework. These guides can help you choose and use the different container runtimes supported.

Has anyone used #flatcarlinux on #hetzner? Any opinions, experiences, hints, tipps, tricks?
