I've never used #Hetzner servers before. Their "server auction" page says the prices as a per hour value, and also has "max. per month".
How do they bill? Is it more like cloud billing where you get billed at the end of the month? or is it like traditional dedicated server billing where you pay at the start of the month?
#Hetzner hat seine Webhosting-Pakete auch umgebaut:
Inklusivdomains raus
zubuchbare Datenbanken rein
NodeJS, Varnish & Co scheint auch neu zu sein (honestly habe ich die alten Angebote nicht zu 100% im Kopf).
New blog post for anyone interested or ready to blame

Circumstances forced me to move all my self-hosted services to a location that does not depend on my living place. Someday, I hope I'll have all that hosted at home again, but now I want to describe my path of setting up a Proxmox VE on a Hetzner dedicated server together with Proxmox Backup Server and Tailscale with backups on Backblaze. This could look like a trivial task at first, but I faced some issues and obstacles I want to document here, for me to remember and for others to be informed.
Since a years we know, or might suspect, our chats are listend on, our uploaded files are sold for advertising or what purpose ever and the chance our social messengers leak our private data is incredibly high. It is about time to work against this.
