Made a tiny tracker in #orca (very basic) and proceeded to spend 3 hours converting the sheet music for the first 2 bars of #finalfantsy's "Prelude" to #midi notes.

(I can't read music at all so this was a very painful process, but I learned things)

Now that I've got the song down in notes and can see the patterns I'm going to see if I can transform it into a much denser and illegible block of orca logic.

I need #finalfantsy Tactics A2 to end so I can continue with my life (or play something else).

Game is reporting 70hr of gameplay (realistically much less than that, I've been playing the battles on 2x speed).

There's so damn many quests that yield loot that grant new abilities that need to be learned via exp from quests.

This game loop has me completely enraptured, but I want off Mr. Luso's wild ride 😭

I'm having so much fun with #finalfantsy tactics A2. The game is way too easy, the story is meh, and half the classes are useless, but the game loop of gaining skills and switching classes and unlocking items in the bazaar is just too satisfying.

Also some of the weird classes are stupid fun to play. I'm overlevelled & overpowered, but I can't put it down.

Definitely glad I chose to emulate instead of playing my physical copy -- fast forward is a godsend, I've been save-scumming the hell out of messing up laws, and it's fun to have on-phone to fill in small wait times.

I'm hoping to play Tactics Ogre after this, and I feel like I'll be in for a rude awakening.
