I am disappointed. There was no issue, but I still fenced very badly. In the pool I lost one bout I should have won, and the other ones, even though I won, were too much struggle. In the first round of elimination, what should have been a simple matter, I won only in the narrowest way. In the next round, I was destroyed... What went wrong? My mindset was not the best (actually, I had no mindset, I couldn't care less), lately I have trained only very little, and some personal issues I have been dealing with did not help either. I ask myself whether I should still compete... I should, but I have a difficult period now. Image of Dilara the cat added so that at least something positive is here.

I also fenced with saber but it is not my primary weapon, it was just fun.

In gradu secundo vici angustissime VII:VI in tempore additicio. Victus sum in gradu tertio a Arthur Pourret qui ita vindictam pro Bordeaux MMXXV quaesivit.

Eventus pulcher erat, quamquam plene frui non poteram. Videamus ut proximo anno 😉

🇬🇧 Paris HEMA Open
I hoped it would be a good tournament, and it was, but not for me. During the way there I got sick, and have spent the whole day in bed instead of roaming through the beautiful city. The next day I felt better, but not well. Nevertheless, I did fight in the longsword tournament, but very badly. In the group I only won a single bout out of 5, I was simply out of batteries. After groups I regained some strength, and won in the first elimination round, but lost in the second. It was close, and had I had all my strength, I think I could have won.

The next day was saber. I felt much better than the first day, but again still not the best. In the group I won three times, and lost once, so I had no opponent in the first round of elimination. In the second round I won most narrowly 7:6 in overtime. I lost in the third round to Arthur Pourret who thus took revenge for Bordeaux 2025.

It was a nice event, even though I could not enjoy it fully. Let's see next year 😉
