That was quicker than expected but wouldn't reboot into Gnome.
Issue was in /etc/gdm/common.conf where Wayland was False. Seeing how X11 is no longer enabled gdm couldn't see a display! Wayland was made True and reboot successful.
Would have been useful to have known this first ... but only an hour wasted.

Woke up this morning, opened up my laptop and started to watch a video and the audio was sent out to a set of my AirPlay-enabled speakers at 100% volume. π€¬
Not the way I wanted to start the day.
While it was nice to see AirPlay-enabled and other audio devices over the network in Fedora 43, but I definitely don't want my audio getting wired to devices that I didn't select and blasted out at full volume.
Removed `pipewire-config-raop` package and the network audio devices are no longer showing up.
Upgraded to #Fedora43. The upgrade went very smoothly and quite fast but I'm having the issue with my third screen. It's a problem with the compatibility of the new 6.17 #kernel and the #Displaylink package. But I can forgo the luxury of a third screen for now. I'm hopeful that an update with be forthcoming soon.
Fedora 43 dropped yesterday, October 28, right on schedule. It's nice to know that I can count on version upgrades every 6 months in April and October as they have been for 21 years now. Upgrading my primary workstation Within minutes of F43 becoming available on the Fedora Project home page, I started the version upgrade on my primary workstation.β¦
Fedora Linux 43 has been cleared for release, with the final target date set for next week. F43 official release date is October 28, 2025.
