It looks like as of Sunday, the initial work to get the Tandem Mobi working with AAPS is done and going into testing. As of now, it'll only do basic oref0 (TBR).
They're kicking up private testing for now so it's not widely available yet.
Congrats to jwoglom and AndyRozman on Discord for their hard work! It's great to see progress!

In my adventures with Meshtastic, I acquired a Sensecap Tracker (T1000-E) that I carry with me.
In the DIY loop community of diabetes, many people use an old Medtronic insulin pump that communicates over the 915MHz band, similar to LoRa. This requires using a bridge device such as RileyLink, OrangeLink, EmmaLink, and maybe others.
I think these are all closed source though. Someone made an open source firmware called GNARL which runs on earlier LoRa hardware, though, proving this could work.
It made me realize, among all the devices these diabetics have access to for their bridge, none of them are well designed nor well suited for carrying.
But the Sensecap Tracker is.
I just wish I had the knowledge to build up a firmware for it. The core platform isn’t the same as what GNARL is built for.

A fantastic interview with Pete Schwamb about #DIYLoop and the work behind the creation of this amazing technology for people with #T1D.
