My Past and Present Opposition to Microsoft
How my opposition to Microsoft was formed and how I released my frustrations at a young age through a poem that still holds strong today.
Stepped outside to go for a walk over lunch, and spotted a dead bird on the sidewalk. A few feet away was another Cedar Waxwing, absolutely refusing to leave the side of the deceased one
I sat down next to it and was able to take this picture from just a few inches away.
The bird hopped a few steps away, but didn't go far.
When I walked away it returned to the other bird's side.
Hard not to anthropomorphize its actions as grief

Kittens ran across the keyboard and locked the computer

Part of getting the new community instance (datavis.social) up and running was deciding on my profile header. I went with an IterativeArt piece I created with code and the text "F*ck Cancer".
I started working on this piece in the days after my diagnosis but before going in for surgery. Even with my frustrations and scary emotions about Cancer, that I was feeling at the time, I still wanted to make the piece beautiful. As usual :)
