Life demands ID cards.
ID cards demand biometrics.
Governments shop your data in the dark net bazaar.
Jobs bind you to accounts.
Accounts bleed your life map.
Where does the loop break?

>Gabe of Libre Solutions Network and Mathew Crawford discuss all things #Bitcoin and how it seems the plan was to have Trump installed and push crypto. They comment on the role of the U.S. military, influencers, BlackRock, the potential future role of bitcoin erasing U.S. debt and functioning as a banking currency, digital gold, tulip mania, viewing the technology as neutral, bitcoin's future price, and more!

I actually agree with both of the guests in this podcast, one is optimistic bitcoin can fix the things, and the other feels that bitcoin is not really succeeding and education is the key to ending the #technocracy.

The most horrific part comes from the host of the show, who outlines the sorts of underhanded methods the corporate state are employing to steer us into #digitalSlavery.

Millions of Workers Are Training AI Models for Pennies

From the Philippines to Colombia, low-paid workers label training data for AI models used by the likes of Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft.

Phone brain rot moment of the day: reflexively pressing the “volume up” on my phone because the person I was having a face-to-face conversation with was speaking too softly. #DigitalSlavery

@nixCraft This is why I disdain big tech - they are continually intent on finding more ways to entice users into their ecosystems while at the same time depriving them of any individual freedom.

Some people might disagree with me, but this big tech trend smells more like #digitalslavery.

Not many are talking about it now, but in the VERY near future when robotics and AI can perform all labor (from raw material, to engineering, to manufacturing, to delivery, to support, to repair/replacement) cheaper than people can, humans will lose all their capitalist labor leverage. That won’t be just physical labor, but also much includes any mental work. That is wonderful if we all own the machines. We can use our time to explore with our new tools to discover more and enjoy our existence.
If however a few people/corporations “own the machines” then at that point, humans in general will not reap the benefits, and their only value to the owners will be as tenants and consumers. With no other leverage, that will create a race to the bottom, where the owners deliver as little as possible and profit by arbitrage of the difference.
For that reason, honest discussion about shared ownership of AI is very important now, though apparently we as a capitalist society are nowhere near ready to have that discussion.

@strypey Jeeze. I knew #YouTube was sticking ads on the content of people who didn't get paid for them, but also adding the possibility of locking your content off to only people who pay (Google only) for it is a completely new level of disgusting #digitalslavery.
