I was surprised, honored, and intrigued to be invited to Choate Rosemary Hall in February to serve on a committee reviewing their world languages program. It's a long way from the reservations of South Dakota in many ways, so I expected to be rather a thorn on the rose of the panel of experts. But actually, I was surprised to encounter teachers who wanted to talk decolonial methods the instant I arrived.
