On my way back from the #BoltEV event and at my Sacramento hotel, I ordered the healthy burger option (Beyond vegan burger with fresh fruit).

The problem is that until two weeks ago, I was harvesting my own blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and apples. And mine (home grown) were by far, better.

Yes, I a food snob!

It's always a sad time of the year, but an essential one - and it won't be long before it's full of life again.

It is the second week of October soon.

And I am currently removing all my plants in my greenhouse.

I feel terrible. I also know this is the part of life that happens, but dang, it sucks every year, esepcially when there are *still* bumblebees trying to polinate late flowers.

But the bottoms of the plants are starting to mold, so It's time.

So, I was just outside picking and squishing (I don't mind doing that). I've tried the pepper-garlic spray method, but sometimes forget to re-apply after it rains. The bugs can be hard to spot -- they blend in with the holes they make in the leaves. And keeping plants away from each other helps (I grow potatoes, tomatoes and peppers in containers, and have seen them spread from one plant to another).
