@trib I live in far west nsw, and in a town not dissimilar to Hay. As part of the Farrer electorate, I witnessed the PHON result. LIke Hay, my town would be absolutely stuffed without a skilled migrant population. The total population numbers would dive, and the harvests would not be brought in. The health, aged and education centres would not function. I’d be buggered for takeaway , as I don’t like fish and chips. More small businesses would close. If Pauline’s newest parliamentarian is already side-stepping her on policy directives, I’m predicting that Farrer will have an independent member soonish.
