October 15th is International Day for Rural Women

If you live in a city, then chances are you will have access to a hospital and maybe even a variety of different medical services. However, if you live in the countryside, or in a rural town you may be unable to access adequate, or even appropriate treatment, and it can take an age to get an appointment in one of the speciality clinics in the major hospitals in the cities.
