My greenhouse project is getting out of hand because I've installed a heat pump to extend the growing season. Because of that I need a circulation fan, too. So I modelled and 3D printed a stand for it. I really like playing with geometry but the cool thing it works, too! https://www.printables.com/model/1662611-12-mm-fan-stand-with-thermometer #greenhouse #3dprinting #openscad #bosl2

"AI is an energy-intensive & thirsty industry. It leads to huge #greenhouse #gas #emissions, #pollution & loss of #nature... The manufacture of components relies on the extraction of #rareearth elements. This can contaminate #soil & #water, pollute the #air & lead to loss of nature & #forest #habitats. Training AI models is incredibly #energy- & #water- intensive."
AI laws overlook environmental damage – here’s what needs to change

By integrating sustainability into AI laws, the planet can be somewhat safeguarded alongside AI’s rapid expansion.

Ohhhhh, I’m gonna need a clock in the greenhouse. It’s too easy to get lost in time playing with dirt and plants!!

Overnight temp was 26F. Greenhouse was shut tight and at 10:30am measured 105F !
Got the auto openers for the roof windows attached now. Guess I can start bringing the seedlings out from my indoor rack to the greenhouse where they will thrive and not get cooked. Happy day!

Plus a handful of harvests today...

A bit of kale from the #allotment, plus the tops snipped off the leggy broad bean seedlings. Going to fry this lot up with garlic to go with dinner tonight.

A surprise fungus harvest from the #greenhouse... I am not yet 100% confident of identification, but this seems to be very alike good old agaricus bisporus. Perhaps from our home compost. Might eat them if I can improve on my confidence, but not too fussed if not as they're not exactly precious or fancy.

Finally a pot of Jerusalem artichokes from the fartichoke bed at home. They seem much better after their second growing season, plumper, less knobbly. This is basically just from me forking over about 50cm2 of ground and sifting out the bigger tubers. The plan with these is to slice them and layer them into a mousaka.
