😱 Oh no, game devs are quaking in their boots because AI is coming for their jobs! Apparently, hitting “open to work” on LinkedIn is the new superpower. Maybe it's time to dust off those #resumes and start learning how to code AI, or at least how to pretend you can. 😂 #JobApocalypse #NotReally

The impact of AI on Game Dev Jobs. Open To Work Crisis

One thing that I noticed as soon as I open LinkedIn green color becomes the most dominant one, greener than my website. I have a feeling that everyone is lai...

🚨BREAKING: #Codegen doesn't magically turn you into a coding wizard 🧙‍♂️! Despite the endless bragging about #AI spitting out code like it's the new gold rush, measuring #productivity by counting lines is like measuring a chef's skill by the number of carrots they chop 🥕✂️. Spoiler: More code ≠ more productivity; it's just more code. 🙄

Codegen is not productivity

There is a whole lot to say about generative AI. LLMs generate a bunch of code, this much is certainly true. Should we celebrate that? There is a long tradition of trying to measure software development output, and most of it tells us that lines of code is a poor metric of programmer productivity. I have some thoughts.

🐢✨ Behold, the revolutionary AlgoDrill: because memorizing a thousand #LeetCode patterns is clearly what separates the elite #engineers from the rest of us mere mortals. Never fear blanking out again — let the drill sergeant yell at your ignorance until you're a coding machine! 💻🤖

The Visitor Pattern - 'Revisited' using Data Oriented Programming techniques

Java Language improvements culminating in java 21 obviate the need for the verbose visitor pattern as we know it, instead elevating it into a first class language feature.

🚀✨ Behold, Microsoft Amplifier: the latest installment in the "GitHub solves everything" saga. Now, instead of writing better code, you can just have your AI do it while you sip lattes and dream of bug-free utopias. 🎩🔧 Because who needs actual coding skills when you have a digital butler, right? 🙄
