Da sie sich oben in den Tannenkronen aufhält, hört man die 11 cm kleine Tannenmeise meist erst, bevor man sie sieht. Tannenmeisen werden vom Klimawandel, dem Sperber, Eichhörnchen, Eichelhäher, Elstern und dem Menschen bedroht. Die kleine Meise kann bis zu 5 Jahre alt werden, viele sterben aber schon nach einem Jahr durch ihre Fressfeinde.
