#Smashwords is great for folks who like to read #IndieAuthors. They also publish things that Amazon things are too naughty for you and they have one of the better author payouts as far as I can tell. #Kobo has a subscription service which is competitively priced with Amazon's #KindleUnlimited and, because they don't require exclusivity, you can get a wider variety of books in #KoboPlus.
Your local #library may also partner with a service like #Hoopla, #Libby, or #cloudLibrary to offer you access to free ebooks and #AudioBooks and the writers still get paid with those options.
guyjantic has moved!Any software, workarounds, etc. to get SimplyE or Cloud Library audiobooks into mp3 or similar format?
I like #audiobooks. I get them from downpour.com and libraries. I love #downpour's DRM-free MP3 format. Libaries, however, are (I think) getting strongarmed by content farm companies: I can download Overdrive files as mp3 and listen at my leisure, without having to have an active WiFi (or worse, mobile) connection. But #SimplyE and #CloudLibrary are rent-seeking trash that won't let me time-shift or device-shift the books I'm checking out.
Is there a way to download these books as #MP3 or #FLAC or #OGG etc.?

Daniel LakelandSeriously, am I just missing something or does the #cloudlibrary reader have no way to page through the book other than to turn each page one at a time. Imagine I'm 400 pages into a 500 page book on my tablet and just downloaded it to my phone... Really, tap the right side 400 times? That's their user interface?
I'm re-working the pricing tiers for upgrading your storage.
After reviewing the price at the cloud storage provider, working out what we need to develop Libreture, and generate a reasonable income, I'm looking at MASSIVELY expanding the capacity for each plan.
