Unfortunately, the #climateclassic cycle ride for today, which goes along the future Dutch sea front at 1 m altitude, was cancelled and/or shortened (depending on your start location). Why ? Because of the climate change that the ride tries to draw attention to !

The temperature and humidity were considered too high.

But we could still collect shirts at the start in Groningen so we were sort of committed to a minimum 60 km ride there and back, and we decided to follow the route all the way back to the furthest point from Groningen, before then riding to our respective homes.

Each person's total distance was different. For me it worked out as only 120 km instead of the expected 160 km total. It was indeed warm today and we rode at a relatively modest pace as a result. But very pleasant it was, with excellent company including @TheoZw and @twilwel

And there's some good news. Because it was cancelled for us this year, we have already paid the entrance fee for next year:
