It is blowing and raining HARD out there and so far the cover on my trike is holding on. I didn't tie it as well as I could, but I did tie it. And the elasticized ends help. I sure hope it doesn't blow away.
The seats of recumbents are generally an ergonomic advantage, but they do catch a lot more rain and are harder to cover fully in a rainstorm. #BikeTooter #Recumbent
@ascentale @bikenite A8. This week was the week I finally got to ride the replacement recumbent. As my left knee is in a lot of pain and very tetchy, it couldn't have come soon enough. Life is much better with a ride.
The challenge is finding infrastructure that isn't ableist and/or car-centric. When places refuse to hold drivers accountable, we get infrastructure that is meant to keep drivers out, but also keeps disabled cyclists out. So we have to educate about these issues, and advocate for holding drivers accountable first & then when relying on barriers, make the barriers as accessible to all cyclists as possible.

@ascentale @TicklishHoneyBee @bikenite A4. Finally replaced my recumbent (thanks to those who've helped...I'm far from paying down the debt from this so I'm still crowdfunding). A trike is new for me so while I've got recumbent experience, I'm having to learn how to adapt to the new configuration.
I bought a water bottle holder, but it's made for upright bike tube diameters. I may have to attach it to my seat back, but the mesh seat design I have doesn't allow for as much of that as the Haluzak Horizon did. I already put a lock holder there.
I have an after-market adapter for things, but it's at my feet so I can't put stuff there I need to access while riding. Currently, I'd like to find a phone/GoPro holder so I could more easily vlog my rides.
I *wish* I had an AirZound, which is my favorite for warning drivers. If I did, I'd have to modify the hose because it's designed for uprights with the reservoir meant for the bottle holder.

Some of you are probably following me not because of my boosts of posts, focused on my #recumbent #solarbike . Today I am about to ride about ~100 km to open air music festival to meet with my friends. Tomorrow, the same 100 km back.
I am never sure of this counts as #biketouring or #motorcycle ride, but I like it and I would like to see more interest in this kind of vehicles.
Heute das ZOX20 grob klar Schiff gemacht. Neue Schlappen, Schaltung nachgestellt und weitere offene Punkte auf die Todo Liste gesetzt.
Kurze Probefahrt um den Ort, läuft aber schon gut wieder.
Am Mittwoch eine kurze Abendrunde im #velomobil mit @radlpit gedreht und in #buttenheim auf eine Brotzeit eingekehrt.
Den Kanal entlang über #forchheim zum Keller und durchs #aischtal zurück.

I missed that you were talking about the BikeE! If we were in the US, it'd be little problem finding a used one on Craig's List or ebay to scavenge parts from.
