Учора шукав заміну #BoxCryptor, це прозоре шифрування даних в хмарі. Наприклад, вказуєте папку #DropBox або #Googledrive в себе на компьютері, та весь її контент буде шифруватись. Якщо буде витік даних, або зловмисники отримують доступ до ваших хмарних даних, то нічого корисного вони там не знайдуть.
Я зберігаю в такий папці дані по криптогаманцям, коди відновлення акаунтів, та іншу важливу інформацію.
Причина зміни інструмента - BoxCryptor був викуплений DropBox та вони закрили цей сервіс. Знайшов непогану #OSS альтернативу у виді #Cryptomator. Потестую ще тиждень, але перші враження непогані.

@cryptomator Take care! Shortly after #Dropbox bought #Boxcryptor, this service was no longer available for private customers.

Одразу прийшлось оновити #BoxCryptor та #Bartender, бо вони не захотіли працювати без оновлення. З помітного - тільки стартовий екран оновився ;-)

I used to use #BoxCryptor as an overlay on #OneDrive to have TNO using my existing cloud storage. #DropBox bought BoxCryptor and discontinued it. I am looking into #Cryptomator as a replacement. Ups, #boxcryptor is now part of #dropbox !? Wanted to test some scenarios, but creating an new account is no longer possible.

Alternatives: #cryptomator what else? Should have an App / Software for android, ios, linux, windows.

Hinzu kommt dass #Dropbox wie #Twitter bewusst ergänzende Produkte kauft nur um diese ersatzlos einzustampfen.

Egal ib #TweetDeck (für Mobilgeräte) oder #boxCryptor...

@bruvduroiu sadly, #Dropbox bought #boxCryptor solely to take their product off the market.

I recommend using #VeraCrypt if you need files across Operating Systems...

I'm still mad that #Dropbox was allowed to buy #boxCryptor since that was one of the few tools that mounted shit transparently well - including Amazon's "free unlimited cloud storage" for consumers...

Which was nifty to dump encrypted shit in so they'll waste their "facial detection" computation power on it...
