Steve Gibson has talked about TNO (trust no one) solutions including https://sync.com for file sync. We use https://sync.com for file sharing in our team. However, it would be nice to have a TNO solution for backups as well. Looking for something that would encrypt client-side and store in cheap cloud (like S3) storage. Anybody doing this? Sync | Secure Cloud Storage, File Sharing and Document Collaboration

Secure file storage and collaboration that helps you stay safe, secure and connected in the cloud.

Sync
#Sync.com comes close to solving this problem for us, but it is not really designed for that. Looking for something that all members of the DevOps team could access (we are a remote team), but that the server could access as well. So, #SqlServer and #RavenDB would back up to it directly, but we could pull down the backup files locally if necessary. (2/x)
The problem with #Sync.com is that you have to be logged into a machine to run the Sync client which makes sense. They are not designed for backups. I remember seeing something on their website about that, but it escapes me now. (3/x)
I used to use #BoxCryptor as an overlay on #OneDrive to have TNO using my existing cloud storage. #DropBox bought BoxCryptor and discontinued it. I am looking into #Cryptomator as a replacement. Anybody have experience with it? https://www.cloudwards.net/cryptomator-review/ https://cryptomator.org/(4/x)
Cryptomator Review - Updated 2023

Cryptomator is one of the best free encryption programs out there, but a close examination of its features shows it falls behind its paid competitors. Still, though, it's an excellent tool for those wanting security on the cheap, as you can read in our full Cryptomator review.
