Amy Brenner is spending the night locked in a psych ward. It's a rotation for her medical school residency and normally would not be a problem, except that it is. She's dreaded the rotation for reasons that are slowly revealed as the night progresses.
Amy is paired with another med student, an ex-boyfriend for whom she harbors a grudge. She also soon discovers a friend from her past, is a patient on the ward. As one bizarre event after another unfolds, she begins to question her sanity. Adding to the mystery, she learns the patients are convinced they will all be killed before the night is done, by a patient being held in lockup. As the suspense mounts, people disappear and Amy's past is slowly revealed.
Ward D has all the elements of a great thriller that will keep you guessing to the end.
