Malaysia Public Transport#Sabah is keen to take over the management of the #KotaKinabalu International Airport (#KKIA) in view of the longstanding "inaction" to resolve issues at the #airport.
The problems at the KKIA including the airport’s lighting, air-conditioning, toilets, baggage trolleys, carousels, and public announcement (PA) system have not been effectively addressed.
The available spaces designated for food outlets at the airport have not been fully utilised.
Malaysia Airports has published the tender/request for proposal (RFP)/pre-qualification (PRE-Q) notice 25/2023.

The training is aimed at complying with the rules set by ICAO and local authorities in addition to identifying room for improvement.
